The Role: Technical Solution Architect

 

Location: Isle of Man

 

Overview of Role:

  • Assisting sales team in understanding or presenting and proposing Elite Group IT services to customers and opportunities
  • Understanding customers’ requirements and translating these into technical designs suited to their needs
  • Supporting RFI / RFP and Bid Proposal preparation and completion – liaison with internal specialists on any non-standard requirement responses
  • Assessing, investigating and providing conclusion on suitability for all non-standard products and services for sales
  • Providing primary technical contact for account management for our existing client portfolio, building relationships and maintaining with regular engagement
  • Supporting the creation of marketing and technical documentation resources.
  • Acting as primary liaison between operational and technical teams and customer peer teams.
  • Supporting key project implementation.
  • Keeping abreast of technical innovations, new products and services which may be of interest to our customers.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • 3 + years experience in range of technical roles – ability to demonstrate technical background across a number of disciplines (see below)
  • Solid presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Possesses strong commercial awareness and communication skills
  • Proven track record of managing and winning technical solution proposals
  • Able to plans and prioritise work effectively to ensure collaboration and team work
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously to a high level of efficiency and accuracy
  • Ability to build productive relationships to learn off others and develop yourself
  • Most importantly, you need to have energy and drive to learn, progress and perform

 

Technical Disciplines:

  • Hyperscale Cloud understanding and certifications
  • Managed / Professional services solution sales capability
  • Hosting “as a service” Products – NaaS, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, DRaaS
  • Public and Private Cloud delivery
  • Hardware Deployment and Solutions (Servers, Network Devices, Storage Devices)
  • Software Deployment and Solutions (Operating Systems, Database Software, Web Software, Hypervisor Software)
  • Public Internet Service solutions, principles, and architectures (DB / App / Web / IP / DNS / CDN / Peering)
  • Maintain and manage high availability Cisco Network and Juniper Firewall Clusters.
  • Documentation/procedure writing.
  • Build bespoke solutions for customers.
  • Project Manage customer migrations and installs. Building project plans, providing regular updates to all stakeholders at all milestones outlined within the project plan.
  • Liaising with Head of Customer Experience to manage technical resource allocation for project tasks.

 

Salary: Depending on Experience
